Riverside School
Teacher and Student Annual Giving

Help the little School make a Bigger difference!

In the Development Office we embrace the bold spirit of Riverside School's founder, Patricia W. DeOrio, in reaffirming a mission dedicated to quality education for special learners. By supporting Riverside's development efforts with a tax-deductible charitable gift, you play an important role in funding:

  • Enrichment of the academic curriculum with important programs like Speech/Language Therapy and Expressive Arts
  • Need-based student scholarships
  • Teacher training and certification, and
  • Capital improvements and facilities maintenance

Riverside School's Annual Giving Campaign runs from July 1st through June 30 of each year. For more information on making a gift of appreciated securities or to request a giving form, please contact the development office at 320-3465, ext.18.

Meaningful contributions may also be made through:

Gifts in Kind: Recent gifts in kind include a DVD player, children's books, printers and photography services. Keep us in mind the next time you have a treasure you no longer need!

Matching Gifts: You may be able to double or even triple your contribution to Riverside! Check with your employer to see if a matching gifts program is offered. Simply send your company's matching gifts form along with your contribution and we'll do the rest.

United Way Campaign: Supporting Riverside (and the Annual Giving Campaign!) is as easy as participating in the United Way through your employer. Riverside School is a non-member agency, which means that the school will receive funds only when you designate Riverside as the recipient on your United Way form. Our designation # is 3558.

Community / Retail Fundraising Programs for Education: You can also support Riverside when making everyday purchases at retailers such as Ukrop's (through the Golden Gift program), Food Lion, Kroger stores and Target.
